The Killers: Day and Age

A competent stand-up could get an entire set out of analysing Brandon Flowers’s famously clunky lyrics in detail. They help to make the Killers the most vulnerable of stadium bands, seemingly always ready to be rumbled as frauds. The wistfully incoherent Human, their new single, isn’t the obvious choice of single from their third album.

The casually epic Losing Touch, the jittery Spaceman and the jolly, faux-Latin I Can’t Stay will certainly follow. This band isn’t smart, but few do the superficial better.

This album is a strange one; its quite loose in its genre, quite diverse. I think people will like different things from it, unlike the new kings of leon album, where you just like the album itself.
A bit of everything with a killers spin on it must be heard.
